Clara N.S. has been in existence since 1910. In 1968/69 the schools of Castlewarren, Revanagh and Dunbell amalgamated with Clara School as St. Colman's National School. Year 2003 marked the building of the new extension and so completed the school we know today. The "new school" was officially opened on May 27th 2004. With increasing numbers a new 6th class room was completed in 2009.
Ten years ago in 2009 a teacher in our school Mrs. Murphy entered us for our first Primary Science Award; we were thrilled to go to Dublin to receive our first plaque for science recognition. Since then the criteria has evolved to include tasks in engineering, maths and technology. We continue to embrace all the new challenges and in 2019 we received our 10th award for STEM Activity and our first Badge for STEM Excellence.
